Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, the all-new ultra-luxurious hotel set to debut mid-2018, reveals six distinct food and beverage offerings, welcoming residents and travellers alike to enjoy a new era of dining in Kuala Lumpur.  Located in the exclusive Golden Triangle neighbourhood next to the iconic Petronas Towers and the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the Hotel introduces a collection of extraordinary culinary experiences, redefining the city’s epicurean scene and cementing Four Seasons as the new gastronomic hub.

Led by Executive Chef Junious Dickerson, Four Seasons will host four restaurants and two lounges, including a bespoke patisserie shop, each well-appointed to take advantage of the Hotel’s idyllic location in the heart of the city and design-worthy ambiance.  Complementing Kuala Lumpur’s vibrant multi-cultural culinary scene, Four Seasons will bring its renowned global flair to the destination by way of the menus – ranging from traditional Cantonese to a mix of international flavours including western, pan-Asian and Arabic favourites, along with stylish cocktails fashioned by acclaimed mixologists.

Dickerson, a 30-year veteran chef with half of his career centred in Southeast Asia, is celebrated for creating extraordinary gastronomic experiences through artisanal cuisine that touches the heart and soul.  In shaping the restaurant concepts and menus with the food and beverage team, Dickerson notes, “Each restaurant and lounge thoughtfully reflects the authenticity, imagination and innovation that is synonymous with Four Seasons, with special attention influenced by the thriving art scene in Kuala Lumpur.”  Dickerson adds, “Malaysia has some of the finest ingredients and unique traditions – and equally as impressive is the incredible amount of local farmers and purveyors, all of which have influenced our menus and will be integral in delivering outstanding culinary experiences.”

As part of Dickerson’s arsenal in creating the most coveted new dining scene in Kuala Lumpur, he has recruited two extraordinary experts in the food and beverage community – acclaimed Chinese Chef Jimmy Wong, specialising in traditional Cantonese cuisine, and award-winning bartender Ashish Sharma.  “Chef Jimmy and Ashish both bring an incredible vision, meticulous attention to detail, and undeniable talent to their craft – and our guests will have the unique opportunity to witness their respective showmanship and savour their artisanal creations,” noted Chef Junious Dickerson.

Yun House – Destined to become Kuala Lumpur’s premier Chinese restaurant for lunch, dinner and drinks, Yun House celebrates time-honoured Cantonese cuisine with a modern attitude.  Award-winning chef Jimmy Wong is at the helm of the restaurant and brings his unwavering commitment to quality and expertise to Yun House, while also infusing artful presentations to complement the restaurant’s modern and stylish atmosphere.  Paying homage to the past, Yun House is a remix of traditional ingredients and age-old recipes, impeccably prepared and presented in a reimagined contemporary setting.

Bar Trigona – In this stylish new cocktail bar, discover where creative cocktails collide with the most coveted masters of their craft.  Bar Trigona, named after Malaysia’s native trigona bee – which produces some of the world’s most sought-after wild honey – boasts hand-crafted cocktails, curated spirits, wines and beers, and light food pairings, all anchored by Four Seasons hospitality.  Inspired by Malaysia’s rich and diverse flora, celebrated head bartender Ashish Sharma has developed a captivating menu with an emphasis on local and sustainable ingredients.  Sip, savour and enjoy classic cocktails with a reimagined twist, while taking in breathtaking skyline views from this coveted new venue.

The Lounge at Four Seasons – Paying homage to Malaysia’s traditional open-air dwellings, The Lounge transports guests to an enchanting setting – bringing the outdoors in, with an elegant, yet relaxed ambiance.  In true Four Seasons fashion, The Lounge is the heart of the Hotel – a sophisticated setting, yet accessible and inviting.  It’s an idyllic venue to savour a leisurely breakfast, light lunch, or delicious dinner.  Feast on classic fare, such as burgers and steak frites to club sandwiches and caesar salads, along with a collection of Malaysian favourites incorporating the same bold flavours, but with a contemporary presentation.  The Lounge is an idyllic gathering place to indulge in the customary enjoyment of afternoon tea, accompanied by a curated selection of classic tea sandwiches and decadent pastries, reflective of the seasons and sourced using the finest ingredients.

Westin Hotels & Resorts today announced the anticipated opening of the brand’s first hotel in the Republic of Maldives with the opening of The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort. Developed by Belluna Co. Ltd, Japan and Asia Capital PLC, Sri Lanka, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort heralds the Westin brand’s wellness positioning in the Maldivian oasis.

Nestled on a beautiful coral island in the Baa Atoll, a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve site, guests of The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort will experience a tranquil escape with uninterrupted ocean and pristine turquoise lagoon views. Led by award-winning Milan-based architects PEIA Associati, the resort’s design takes inspiration from the ocean with a visionary approach towards environmental sustainability. All elements of the resort’s design take inspiration from the environment from the use of natural materials, such as unique shells to the movement and flow of marine life including sea turtles and whale sharks, providing guests with a link to the region’s exceptional enchantment. An aerial view of The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort reveals an outline in the shape of a fish, a distinctive reflection of the beauty of surrounding marine life; while the arrival jetty is structured to resemble clamshells and the oceans’ waves.

The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort features 70 villas and suites, 41 on island and 29 overwater. Each villa is shaped with an eco-friendly double roofing to create the perfect natural ventilation. Outdoor rainforest showers are a distinctive feature. Poised over the sea on stilts and with an area of almost 200 square meters each, the overwater suites are among the largest a resort has to offer in the Baa Atoll region.

Royal Estates Royal Court Affairs in Oman carried out the design of most of the refurbishment works, while renowned luxury integrated design firm WATG and affiliated design studio Wimberly Interiors provided some of the other architecture and interior renovation under the supervision of the Royal Estates. Undergoing a dramatic transformation, the Palace’s hotel rooms and suites seamlessly combine decor inspired by Oman’s culture and heritage with refined design and state-of-the-art technology. While the rooms retain their original elegance, an enhanced level of modern luxury is now provided by rich furnishings, lush materials and neutral metallic tones. New artwork pays homage to Oman’s artisans with contemporary digital prints incorporating images of traditional Omani silverware, jewelry, khanjars, and coffee pots.

Award-winning architect André Fu and his design studio AFSO designed the main hotel. Globally recognized for their work, which range from modern hospitality projects and art spaces to high-profile fashion collaborations, AFSO has artistically curated a holistic Waldorf Astoria Bangkok hotel experience that unites the building’s contemporary architecture with Thai artisanal tradition. Conceptualized to embrace the gracious Thai spirit in an elegant setting, the 171 residential-style, spacious and luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites feature spa-inspired bathrooms and marble bathtubs.

The hotel’s crown jewel spans the top three floors from levels 55 to 57, comprising three distinctive, artistically curated dining outlets by world-renowned design and concept firm AvroKO. Exuding glamour and luxury, the opulent interiors of Bull & Bear, The Loft and Champagne Bar showcase a nod towards the Waldorf Astoria legacy, all accompanied by sweeping views of the city.

In line with Waldorf Astoria’s legacy of culinary expertise, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok is primed to be a dining destination in itself. The property features three unique restaurant concepts, a lounge and two bars, including:

Front Room, the hotel’s signature restaurant, is helmed by acclaimed Chef Fae Rungthiwa Chummongkhon, who brings her experience of working at Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe to present an elegant blend of “new Nordic” and Thai flavors in a relaxed setting.

The Brasserie, located on the upper lobby, is a lively destination that offers stunning views of the city. Using locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant serves traditional French brasserie fare daily from breakfast through dinner.

Peacock Alley, which sits on the same level as The Brasserie, is an ideal lounge for picturesque afternoon teas and light meals. Modeled after the New York original, Peacock Alley presents a menu of delectable homemade pastries and refreshments throughout the day.

Bull & Bear on level 55 specializes in grilled meats and seafood, and features a live raw bar along with a custom-made grill designed for smoking, slow roasting, baking and grilling. Eye-catching art deco-inspired interiors, upbeat vibes and dazzling views make Bull & Bear the perfect place to socialize, celebrate and indulge.

The Loft on level 56 is a glamorous, New York-inspired bar, steeped in the romance of art nouveau. Taking inspiration from the original 1935 Waldorf Astoria Bar Book, artisanal spirits and forgotten cocktails are crafted to the modern palate using a great collection of house-made ingredients, accompanied by gourmet bar bites.

The Champagne Bar, located at the hotel’s peak on level 57, offers an intimate and inspirational environment, designed with meticulous attention to detail. An exquisite list of fine champagnes, handcrafted cocktails and one of the best views of Bangkok combine to create the ultimate setting for a spectacular evening out. Accessible only to the most discerning of guests, the exclusive bar is primed to be one of the most desirable spots in the city.

Arguably the most striking feature of the property is the 730-square-meter Magnolia Ballroom on level 10, which offers a stunning and sophisticated setting for weddings and social events.
